  My elderly mother lives in Stallion Springs and I live hours away near San Diego. When unable to reach my mother by phone or email, we became concerned about her wellbeing and contacted the Sheriff's office in the evening hours to request that an officer go to her home and check things out. Within 30 minutes I received a direct call from the responding officer, Mike Grant, who was already at my mom's house. Officer Grant thoroughly checked the premises, found them undisturbed and nobody home. He gave me a direct number to reach him and guidance on how to proceed with accessing the home if we were not able to locate mom. Thankfully, mom returned from an unplanned trip later that night, and I called Officer Grant to inform him. It was late, and I know I woke him up, but he was incredibly courteous and expressed his relief for mom's safety and thanked me for calling him (despite having disturbed his well-deserved sleep). Great guy and outstanding responsiveness and manner...a comfort to know that he is near my mom given we are hours away.
